Who We Are
The 100 Black Men of America, Inc., with headquarters in Atlanta GA, recently announced that several chapters were chartered during 2003 which brings the total number of chapters in the United States, England, and the Caribbean to a total of 101.  There are over 10,000 members from a myriad of professions including corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, entrepreneurs, elected officials, professional athletics, educators, and men from numerous other professions.

Included in those chapters chartered in 2003 is 100 Black Men of Eastern North Carolina, Inc. of Greenville, NC.  The Greenville chapter will serve all of eastern NC including the geographical area north of route 40 and east of route 95, to the coast.

With a mission to improve the quality of life and enhance educational opportunities for African-Americans, members of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. serve as a strong force for overcoming the cultural and financial obstacles that have limited the achievements of African-American youth, particularly young African-American males.  The organization has made outstanding progress, proving that Blacks can, and do, excel in corporate and community leadership.

"The 100," as it is widely known, has created programs which provide an environment where young people are encouraged and motivated to learn and achieve.  Each member serves as a strong Black role model for our youth in today's society.

"The 100" has also proven that training and support provided for thousands of youth each year has improved opportunities to stabilize their learning environment, become self supportive and become empowered to control their own destinies.  over the past decade, the changing times brought new challenges and yielded many unanticipated opportunities.

"The 100" has four major program components that aide in achieving the mission or the organization.  These signature FOUR FOR THE FUTURE programs are Mentoring; Education; Health and Wellness; and Economic Development.  The accomplishments made through these programs have allowed "The 100" to gain notable prominence internationally as one of the world's leading organizations for mentoring African America Youth.
